SS Engineering Works
Terms & Conditions
Information about website use, machinery quotations, project delivery and the responsibilities involved in domestic and international orders.
About these terms
These terms describe the use of the SS Engineering Works website and the general commercial framework for our machinery and related services. A website enquiry is a request for information or a quotation. Order requirements are established through a quotation, order confirmation or supply agreement accepted by both parties. Those agreed documents take precedence over general information on this page, subject to applicable law.
Website use & product information
You may use this website to explore our machinery, review technical information and submit business enquiries. Please provide accurate details and use the website lawfully. Activities that interfere with its operation, attempt unauthorised access or misuse enquiry forms are prohibited.
Product descriptions, photographs, videos and technical specifications provide general guidance. Equipment configuration, dimensions, materials, accessories and automation options may vary by model and project. Confirm the specifications and supply scope in your quotation before placing an order.
Production capacity, product quality and energy consumption depend on factors such as raw materials, recipes, operating conditions, utilities and machine settings. Any agreed performance commitment and acceptance criteria must be recorded in the order documents.
Website text, drawings, branding and media belong to SS Engineering Works or their respective owners. You may review them for your business evaluation; reproduction or commercial reuse requires permission from the relevant owner. References to third-party products do not imply an affiliation or endorsement.
External websites are governed by their own terms. Personal information shared with us is handled as described in our Privacy Policy .
Quotations, pricing & payment terms
A quotation sets out the offered machinery, configuration, quantity, currency, price and validity period. If no validity period is shown, please obtain price confirmation before ordering. Revisions to scope or specifications require an updated agreement on price and delivery.
- Included charges: confirm whether taxes, packaging, freight, insurance, installation, commissioning, training and site work are included or separately priced.
- Payment schedule: advance payments, instalments, balance payments and due dates follow the accepted quotation or supply agreement.
- Payment method: payments must be made using the account or payment method identified in the official invoice or agreed order documents. Payment receipt is subject to clearance.
- Order changes: requested changes are assessed for technical feasibility and their effect on cost and schedule. Additional work or charges require agreement before proceeding.
If a scheduled payment is delayed, any resulting change to production, dispatch or service arrangements will be communicated and handled under the agreed contract and applicable law.
Delivery, installation & commissioning
Delivery arrangements, destination, packing requirements and dispatch milestones are recorded in the order documents. Timelines are estimates unless a firm commitment is expressly agreed. Their starting point may depend on receipt of the agreed payment, approved drawings and complete project requirements.
Installation, commissioning, operator training and site visits are included only where stated in the accepted scope. The quotation or service agreement defines associated travel, accommodation, labour and other expenses.
- Site readiness: the customer provides the agreed floor space, access, foundations and utilities, including suitable electrical supply and any required fuel, water, ventilation or drainage.
- Safe working conditions: unloading equipment, site permissions, trained personnel and other responsibilities are allocated in the agreed scope. Machine guards and safety systems must be used as instructed.
- Trials and acceptance: test materials, operating conditions, inspection procedures and acceptance criteria should be agreed before commissioning.
- Delivery inspection: inspect the shipment when received and promptly report visible damage or shortages with supporting photographs and shipping documents so the issue can be investigated.
Ownership, transit risk, insurance and responsibility for unloading follow the agreed contract or trade term, subject to applicable law. Shipment and service dates may require adjustment where site readiness, transport or other project dependencies change.
Warranty, service & cancellation terms
Warranty and after-sales service
The warranty period, commencement date, coverage, exclusions and available remedies are set out in the accepted quotation or warranty document. Please report a suspected fault with the machine model, order reference, operating conditions and relevant photographs or videos.
Normal wear and damage caused by misuse, unsuitable utilities, unauthorised modifications or failure to follow operating and maintenance instructions may be excluded to the extent stated in the agreed warranty and permitted by law. An unrelated modification or issue does not automatically remove statutory rights.
Spare parts, consumables, service visits and work outside agreed warranty coverage are subject to availability and a separate quotation where applicable. Remote or on-site support arrangements are confirmed for the particular machine and destination.
Cancellations, returns and refunds
Submit cancellation or change requests in writing as early as possible. The outcome depends on the accepted contract, manufacturing stage, customised work and materials already committed. Any proposed deduction must have a contractual or legal basis and be explained in writing.
Returns require prior coordination for assessment, transport and handling. Any refund due will be determined under the agreed contract and applicable law, with the amount and processing arrangements communicated to the customer. These terms do not remove mandatory rights concerning defective goods or other statutory remedies.
International orders & export responsibilities
International enquiries are assessed for the destination, project requirements, service scope and shipping feasibility. Availability of a particular machine or support arrangement is confirmed in the quotation for that order.
- Trade terms: the accepted documents define responsibilities for carriage, insurance, customs clearance, duties and taxes. If an Incoterms® rule is used, the rule, named place or port and applicable edition must be stated.
- Documents: export and import documentation, destination certificates and inspection requirements must be identified before order acceptance. Each party provides the documents and approvals allocated to it.
- Destination requirements: required voltage, frequency, language, machine standards and certification must be disclosed before manufacture and confirmed in the agreed specification.
- Local permissions: responsibility for import permissions, site approvals and operational licences follows the accepted scope and applicable law. Machinery supply does not by itself provide permission to operate a food business.
- Currency and charges: payment currency, banking charges, foreign-exchange arrangements and any applicable taxes are confirmed in the commercial documents.
Certifications, local service coverage or destination approvals apply only where expressly confirmed. Any installation, training or after-sales support abroad is provided according to the agreed scope and practical access arrangements.
Liability & events outside reasonable control
The parties’ responsibilities, remedies and any agreed limits of liability are determined by the accepted contract and applicable law. Nothing on this page excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or restricts mandatory customer rights.
Website information does not promise a particular commercial return. Project-specific performance obligations remain governed by the agreed specifications, acceptance criteria and contract.
Events outside reasonable control, such as natural disasters, government restrictions or major transport disruption, may affect an order. The affected party should promptly explain the impact and take reasonable steps to reduce it. Any extension, suspension or termination follows the accepted contract and applicable law.
Governing law & dispute resolution
These website terms are governed by the laws of India, subject to any mandatory laws that apply. A machinery supply agreement may specify its own governing law and dispute-resolution arrangements.
Please contact us first with the relevant order reference and details of the concern so we can seek a practical resolution. Where the matter remains unresolved, the accepted contract and applicable law determine the competent forum and available remedies. Contacting us does not remove any right to approach a competent authority or court.
Changes to these terms
We may update this page to reflect changes in website features, business practices or legal requirements. The date above identifies the latest revision. An update to this page does not retrospectively change an accepted order unless both parties agree or applicable law requires it.
